LA PERLA PRE-FALL 17 CAMPAIGN
Kendall Jenner Featured in La Perla’s pre-fall 2019 Campaign
Model-of-the-Moment Kendall Jenner is featured in La Perla’s pre-fall 2019 campaign. In this new campaign, Kendall can be seen wearing La Perla’s ready-to-wear line of lingerie and beachwear.
This campaign, shot by Mert & Marcus, was inspired by artists Georgia O’Keefe and Peter Max. Peter Max is known for larger-than-life paintings and Georgia O’Keefe is known for her sensual portrayal of flowers. Kendall is photographed sitting in a lovely British garden with large, oversized hibiscus, begonias and tulips that are meant to inspire both fantasy and imagination.
Kendall can be seen in a brightly colored, lilac swimsuit with sunglasses and white strappy heels. She is also photographed in a simple slip dress adorned with violet and gold flowers. She wears a black choker and vibrant, vermillion red lipstick to complete this look. Her hair is parted in the middle and is left straight. And she is also seen in a sheer bra and panties set with high platform sandals. Another look has her in a loose slip dress that is lavender, pink and green. In this image, she poses on her knees among whimsical flowers, a bright blue sky and a perfectly manicured green lawn. A matching lavender handbag completes this fantasy look.
Creative director Julia Haart said, “This collection is all about nature as seen through the eyes of the artist. I was inspired by the motif of the British garden as captured by painters throughout history.”
Others who have viewed the campaign say it reminds them of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz as she slept in the field of poppies.
